Troubleshooting is a process of elimination. The articles in this section are intended to help us use the most direct process to eliminate the problem.
For all of the services that eMyPeople offers, a connection is the first thing that must be in place. The first step is usually going to be: make sure you have a connection.
Once you have established a connection, if things are still not working, then troubleshoot the service that is having the problem. The services that eMyPeople provides fall within one of two categories: email or internet filtering.
As you are working through the troubleshooting steps, pay careful attention to the error messages that you are getting and to what is generating those error messages. While those messages may seem like "Greek" at times, to an experience technician, they can be packed with meaning. Keep track of the error messages that you are receiving and what is generating them to save yourself from going in circles and to save time for any technician that helps you.
If this is the first time that you are here or if you are a beginning tech, it would be well worth your time to read Troubleshooting Basics. It should take you less than five minutes to read and will pay you dividends in saved time if you follow the guidelines laid out in the article.
