The goal of this article is to show you how to setup your new Verizon mifi device, connect to it and than configure your email.

1) Setting up the device.
- After unpacking the device plug it in and press the Power Button until the button is solid green.
- Wait till the light starts intermittently blinking green and than go to your computer.
2) Connecting to the network.
- In the bottom right-hand corner of the screen there should be a small
icon that has some bars with a yellow star symbol. You might have to select hidden icons to find it. - Click on the bars and look for the Verizon network. Select it and press Connect.
- When it asks for a password enter the password enter the network password which should be located on the bottom of the device.
- Press OK, let it connect and if everything went well you should be connected.
3) Setup/configuring your email
The steps below are on how to install Windows Live Mail or Thunderbird. If you're not sure which to choose I recommend Thunderbird. If you're planning to use Outlook you'll have to look somewhere else because it is a paid product.
- Inserting the setup cd. When prompted whether you want to open to view files or run the menu.exe press Run. A menu will appear. Select the software button.
- If you're planning to use Windows Live Mail double click on the wlm.exe file and allow it to guide you through the steps.
- If you're going to use Thunderbird instead, double click on the Thunderbird setup and allow it to guide you through the steps.
